Kentaro Kobayashi(Ramens)

I've had a long holiday since new year and I enjoyed lots of media like movies, comics, anime and whatever I felt interesting. I got lots of inspirations so I think it's time to make some output! Basically, drawings of thing I really liked ;)

First is a famous Japanese comedian, Ramens. I always enjoyed their funny sketches from long a go, but I didn't know what they are doing now. I searched a little and I found out that one of them are still active. Kentaro Kobayashi performs as "Potsunen" at theater. I watched some of his performances and I just loved it!

You can see some on Youtube so just sharing. I found some of his stuff at Paris so even non-Japanese people can enjoy it too I hope.

I brought my cintiq companion to the life drawing session, and here's some decent drawings. I'm not used to this so it took me longer than usual, but I guess it's not too bad. I gotta experiment with brushes and colors later!

One great thing about this digital drawing is that I can upload my drawings so fast and easy. When I finished, the data is ready. No need to scan and clean ;)

Digital life drawing with Cintiq Companion Hybrid

I got this nice gadget from Wacom a month ago but I couldn't really try because I was too busy... but finally I could play and see how this works! I did some life drawings and sketches today and in conclusion, I freakin love this thing!!!

I can draw like ordinary cintiq and it's portable like a perfect digital sketchbook. I was so disappointed with ipad but this one, just works so awesome! I'm so excited to take this to the next life drawing session!

Wicked

Bad witch rises!!!

I've watched the musical Wicked yesterday and I was too impressed. I don't even remember when i watched the last musical but this one was totally epic!! Great musics, dances, acting, and story. I knew this is famous since long ago, and now I know exactly why. Great stuff.

2D/3D TV anime series I'm currently working on was opened at the public few weeks ago. There is 2D and 3D part in the episode and I'm working on 3D part.(it's similar to Black Rock Shooter, for people who's familiar with anime)

It's just a PV so not much things in it but there'll be more coming eventually. I'm new to this kind of typical anime style animation so I'm having tough time but I'm definitely getting it! Lots of actions, lots to learn!!

Stand By Me DORAEMON STAND BY ME ドラえもん

Here is a trailer of the movie I was recently working on! It was such an awesome experience I got during this project. I had lots of fun!!! THX to Yagi team I worked with. I'll never forget those wonderful times.

the main character Doraemon, who is freakin famous so that everybody knows him in Japan. He was really hard to animate because of his short leg...took me while to get used to it...but he is soooo charming  when he's animated right.

 I'm working on other TV anime series right now but hopefully this turns out nice too.

It's been a month since I started working at Shirogumi. It's freakin busy, but also really fun!!!

This is an illustration for card game called Dixid. One of my senior animator is trying to make an original deck all drawn by Shirogumi artists, so I drew one for that.

Hired!

My job hunting was over. I was hired at Shirogumi, and luckily involved in their animated films. I'm super excited about this!
